So I'm getting older and it's getting harder to stay in shape. I go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week but it's not enough without trying to eat more healthy. So I've been trying different yogurt to see if I can stomach some of it and hopefully eat it when I get a sweet tooth instead of ice cream. I've tried most of the flavors of Yoplait or whatever that stuff in the weird shape container is called. It's OK, but every time I open it the crap flies out of the top and gets all over me. It never fails to hit my tie when I'm at work. I've tried a few of the others too. I'm afraid to try the Walmart brand because it's only $.38. At that price there has to be something wrong with it.

Anyway, tonight I tried Breyers Fruit on the bottom. What the heck is this stuff? It looks like lard until you mix it up. Then it starts to break apart and looks like spoiled milk until the fruit from the bottom starts to get mixed in. Now it looks like the frog my dog caught out in the woods and left on the sidewalk for me to clean up.

So is yogurt just not in the card for me or is there one that looks and tastes ok that won't squirt all over me?

And it's bad enough the crap flies when you open it, but how about when you try mixing it up!!! There really is not adequate room to get a good stir going. Way too many problems for such a little container. Pass the pre-mixed stuff. Better yet, let's just crack open a Haagen-Dazs and call it a day

Sounds like a good plan. At least I can take comfort is knowing that I gave it all I had.:lol:

Whatever happened to those frozen yogurt places? They were everywhere back in the 90's. Now I'd let that stuff drip on me if that was the only price to pay. It was some good stuff...

As gross as this Fruit on the Bottom is, it has to be good for me. I'll probably close my eyes, plug my nose and gag it down. I should be healthy by tomorrow morning.

I like yogurt and have been eating it for years. About six months ago I found one that I really like and now, that is the only one I eat. It really like Yoplait's Cherry Cobbler - thick and creamy. My all-time favorite thing to do is to freeze it for about a half-hour - gets really thick and my brain thinks that I'm eating ice cream.

You have to keep eating it. Sort of develop a taste for it, I guess.
The really good stuff is the Greek yogurt. But you either hate that or love it, so try it and find out for yourself. It's better for you than regular yogurt.

I love yogurt with granola. I used to sprinkle the granola on top of the yogurt, but now I just put granola in a bowl and cover it with my yogurt. My favorite breakfast. :)

Greek Yogurt? That doesn't sound good. I don't like black olives.

The Yoplait is the best in my opinion....and the FoodLion Brand. The Pineapple upside down cake Yoplait is my current favorite....it's fat free too!! and only 100 calories. The Foodlion vanilla is only 80 calories and with some yummy granola clusters or almonds is super yummy and filling and healthy.

Try some granola crunchies in it.

Oh yeah, and Key Lime Pie flavor is good for a desert.

I'm with KB on the Food Lion brand especially the vanilla. Regular Breyers is ok. But the fruit slime on the bottom (especially blueberry...don't like em') is gross. I have to pass on the Yoplait too...taste's funny :ack:

I like the Breyer's Light, it does have a few fruit chunks in it, but I still like it. Strawberry Cheesecake and Blueberries and Cream are my fav's!

But I too have the problem where it 'spurts' out at me  I try to open it real slow so its not so bad.

No idea...but unlike many of the other brands that I tried at least it doesn't taste or look like it contains gelatin.

I'm not a yogurt person, either. I do like to sue it in smoothies, and I am going to try using either granola or Honey Bunches of Oats cereal in it.

I have used the Dannon Fit and Light Vanilla, Peach and Strawberry flavors, and I thought they were very good for yogurt :). Also, I have used the Walmart Vanilla and Peach, and they were OK in a smoothie. Someone has the Dannon Fit and Light on sale this week for 39 cnets (Lowes Foods I think). I need to check and go buy some.

I'm hoping the cereal mixing works because I will be at Disney 9/20-25 and i need something relatively healthy for breakfast in the room that doesn't require cooking (don't wnat to have to schlep to the food court to sue the microwave or toaster).

I only by Stoneyfield Farms. I seriously don't like yogurt, I buy it for my kids because it's a healthy snack or breakfast for them....but, I can actually eat a spoonful or two of the Stoneyfield and not gag. I buy the big tubs and they have Blueberry, Strawberry and Vanilla that aren't half bad. They have more flavors in the 6 ounce cups but those are still too big a serving size for my kids as they're still little....
