With the price of gas we cannot afford to fill up a 100 gal tank. We only use it if the current goes off. This last snow I was so scared the current would go off. We are elderly and I'm disabled. Any suggestions would be appreciated ! THANks, Pat

Unless I'm mistaken, you don't have to fill 'er up. I believe you can buy a few gallons at a time.

Many companies won't come out for less than 100 gallons. Try calling TR Lee in Clayton and telling them your situation. Perhaps they can make an exception over there.

Depending on the connection you have outside, you can usually run the fireplace off a grill tank, much smaller, and you can just exchange them.

Campers often use two grill tanks connected to a manifold for extended use.

Not sure what local companies are doing right now, but my sister in Robeson Co just got 50 gallons put in her empty 100 gal tank. The company said they don't normally do that, but because prices were so high right now, they were allowing people to buy by the gallon. It wouldn't hurt to call some local companies and ask if they are allowing the same right now.
