I purchased gas at Sheetz, Hwy 42 and Cornwallis, yesterday afternoon. Used credit card at pump. Sheetz billing to my credit card was $5.00+ more than my purchase and receipt. I am not accusing Sheetz of being dishonest, may be just a glitch in the pump computer. However, if this happened to me it could have happened to others. Check your receipts vs your credit card billing. Before someone asks how I discovered this so quickly. Several years ago a business billed one of my credit cards more than $12,000 in bogus billings one month. Since then I periodically check our credit card accounts online to try and catch inaccurate/fraud billings early. Just giving my "Johnston County Today" poster friends a heads up.
