A coworker told me about this, as she just recieved her laptop for her child. This is a wonderful idea, so I thought I'd share for anyone that is interested. For those who aren't familiar with the OLPC program: it's an initiative to provide every school-age child in developing countries an internet-enabled laptop. Through December 31, they're sponsoring a "Give-One-Get-One" campaign. For $399 you get two laptops, one for yourself and one that is donated to a developing country. Here is the link, if anyone is interested. http://www.laptopgiving.org/en/index.php Ken, you'll be happy to know it's Linux based.
