I have been living in Clayton 22 years And I really like the look and feel of what's happening downtown Clayton. I like the new stores, restaurants and the farmers market. Would really like to see a butcher like hook and cleaver. Who is in charge of the changes?

Umm... You are? Most of the positive growth in the area comes from private businesses. Businesses need a stable, open minded, pro-growth government to succeed. You vote for the government. Businesses need customers to serve, keep our county inviting (like we have a problem) to people relocating by supporting our schools, and keeping pro-growth town councils, county commissioners etc. Thats the way i see it.
As far as people in charge of the changes, volunteers for the rotary, BBB, chamber of commerce and other civic organizations do alot of the behind the scenes networking and brainstorming to keep this all going.
