So I'm taking the entrepreneurial leap and starting my own business. I'm now to the point where I need a CPA and would love to get some good recommendations from you 4042ers. My situation could be a little complicated for a while as I will start as an employee receiving a minimal salary, but mostly depending on commissions. Then after 12-18 months, I will make the switch over to an independent contractor/self-employed compensation structure so I need someone GOOD to figure this all out for me, particularly how claiming business expenses while "partially employed" and receiving bonuses works?? I suppose maybe realtors have a similar situation? Anyways, I am all ears:allears: And thank you much in advance!! PS-How does finding a CPA work? Do you go in for a consultation to decide if you like them? And also, what might I expect to pay for one? Do they bill on retainer, per hour, etc?? Thanks!!!
Tyndall Stroud CPA's in Raleigh. http://www.tyndallstroudcpa.com/ LOVE THEM!!! We had gone through 5 CPA's until we were referred to Derek. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!
Thanks ladies for the suggestions and PMs! I guess I will be giving them calls all very soon to search out one that fits right for me. I very much appreciate your help:cheers:
