I'm looking for a GPS ... or software that will allow me to take an excel file or list of customers and create a route to be downloaded into my Garmin GPS. It looks like I can go out to mapquest and enter a type of business & it will create a map that can be downloaded into the gps ... but I can't figure out how to add or subtract any stops to it. Is there some type of route planning software that will allow me to send it lots of addresses, have the software create a route, and then download the route into the gps. Life is just w-a-y too short to actually type all of the addresses into the gps.

Lots of third party apps out there for this kind of thing. I would start by contacting Garmin customer support and see if their software currently supports something and if not, what they would recommend.

Here is one I found after a quick search on Google: import excel to garmin...

Be careful with third party apps though.
