A neighbor of mine told another neighbor in confidence that she was diagnosed with swine flu today. I happen to be at the right place at the right time and got wind of this. She called me tonight to see if I could babysit her daughter tomorrow while she went to work! Can you believe the nerve of some people? Even when the doctor told her to quarantine herself for a minimum of 5 days. Now she's putting others at risk because of her own stupidity. Awful!

Some dentist office in Cary. But be warned...she so brilliantly stopped by WalMart on her way home today. I'm not setting foot in there for at least a week!

    should've been reported... sorry...

  5. That's nothing to play around with. It should be reported. Think of all the patients at the dentist office who might be exposed now. Is there something you could do? Can you report it?

I thought that the doctor's office who diagnosed it had an obligation to report it. She claims she can't afford to take 5 days off of work. Who would I report it to?

  7. You're right. I would think the the doctor's office would have to report it. Maybe you don't need to. I don't know.

The health department maybe should know about it, but I'll bet you they'll do nothing about it given the fact that the H1N1 appears milder than what was originally feared.

I have a friend that works in a rest home in Zebulon. They reported 12 flu like cases to the CDC and it was confirmed H1N1. Now her husband has it and is quarantined. He is staying home for a week.

Be sure you have the facts before you start calling around to report this person. Maybe the person told the neighbor the dr. *thought* she had it or tested her for it.

Exactly! I think they have been pretty good at reporting these cases. If this person really had it or even symptoms it has been reported.

  12. :iagree: I would think so too.
