Anyone know if filling up my above ground pool with the water hose can be taken off as waste water if I go and talk to the Town of Smithfield. I heard that rumor but don't know if thats true or not but 6000 gals. of water is a lot. Ant other ideas out there??? Thanks

If you have water and sewer you can bring the info on your pool to the water company and they will not charge you a sewer charge for that amount of water. but you will get charged for the water.

We don't have sewer (wish we did!) and DH says that wastewater is the water being collected in those big water tanks for example at the landfill and used for irrigation.

Our neighbors just filled their pool. She said that she called them before they started and then had to call them back once they were done (took a day), and that way they pay the water charge but not the sewer piece. I have friends in N. Raleigh that said they did something similar when watering their lawn.
