Oh, I was there. An ambulance was out front then another one pulled up. We walked the woods/battleground and when we came back they were gone and back to doing tours.

Some Yankee made a uncomplimentary comment about a Rebel and the Civil war started all over again.

A friend and I went to a battlefield a couple years ago, but don't think this was it, it just had a tiny building (like a museum, but very small) and some trails where the battle was. Seems like it was down by Fayetteville somplace. This place you're talking about sounds nicer though, is it a good place to go visit? I think my kids are probably too young to care, but I'd like to see it. Never heard of it, I've lived here 10 years!

Oh yeah, we've been several times. It's a nice drive - you can ake 50 all the way down if you like.

We have been to a few of the reenactments, They have a VERY BIG one every 5 years, ( I think). Horses and all.

We saw the cannons being fired last year. DS was thrilled at all that!
