While winding down from my night shift last night I stumbled on this great documentary that is really a love story about two great people. Language caution if your children are watching this with you: During an interview with the Taylors' son, he recaps a story about a neighborhood kid saying "FU" behind his parent's back to prove to some other kids that the Taylors were deaf. This is the only negative part of the story that could have been told another way and still made the point. - - - - - - - - - - - - “Hear and Now” is the deeply intimate account of Paul and Sally Taylor, a deaf couple who, in their 60s, underwent risky cochlear implant surgery. Their journey from a comfortable marriage of silence into a new and complex world of sound is chronicled by their daughter, Irene Taylor Brodsky.
