Okay, this past weekend my parents came down for a visit and took us out to dinner Friday night. (kids get a kick out of throwing peanut shells on the floor go figure). Anyhow, since it was Friday it was a long wait and eveyrone was standing around. A gentleman walks in w/ a white beard. ahhh, Santa's here and my kids were thrilled that he was at Logans--LOL. The guy was super great and apparently does this for real...plays Santa for kids. He said he comes to houses and does the whole spiel. Anyhow, he gave me his card and his name was Bill Davis on hte back of his card. Front was Santa w/ northpole address and such. His phone # was on the back and if I recall it was a Clayton #. Do any of you know how to get in touch w/ this man? I've looked it up in hte white pages but way too many bill/ william Davis' to know which one it is. We lost the card he had given us. Thanks in advance. stephanie--mom to 7
Stephanie - Bill Davis is a wonderful Santa! Several years ago Bill and I "worked" at the NJROTC Christmas Tree Sales Lot together - and had a great time. He is excellent with the children! I will check with my son to see if I can get Bill's phone number for you! May take a day or two, but I'll let you know something as soon as I can!
Stephanie - Wow, what are the chances that Santa shows up at Logans when you're there with your 7 kids??!! That's great, your kids must have loved it!! I would love to see you with your clan out in a restaurant, it must be a sight! Hope you had a good weekend with your folks! (and my kids love throwing the shells on the floor too, but the mom in me has a hard time doing it!)
Speaking of Santa I told my kids to they should write their letter to Santa soon--my 6 year old said "do you have his e-mail?" I guess that is a sign of the times
While Santa has no direct email (at least no public email address), he does receive email "Santa Letters" through his website at http://www.northpole.com . He will even reply to these emails personally (time permitting, of course). Click on the link and then click "Send a Letter To Santa" (http://www.northpole.com/Mailroom). Note to parents: This site is free and kid friendly (as you would expect from Santa), but as always, you should check it out yourself first and always monitor your children while they surf the net.
JustAnotherMom - sent you a pm also! Wonder if Bill will give me a cut on all the free advertising he's getting! LOL!
I don't need his info, but what exactly does he do? Does he charge to dress up and go to parties? Or just go around spreading good cheer? I'm a little confused. Just curious.
I met him last year. Just ran into him in a restaurant much like Abdulina, and he was wonderful! Talked to all the kids, even gave them naughty/nice coins. He dresses up and comes to parties or whatever. My parents have then info, but I hate to wake up my dad so I was hoping this would be a quicker way to get his info!
I'm not quite sure either and that's why I wanted his info. My mom thought it might be cool and if he charges, may do that for us. ---you know, grandparents kind of spoiling the kids--LOL. He was just so great w/ them at the restaurant, I'd figured I'd check it out. And yeh, I'm sure he loves the advertising on well. Sounds like he does a great job w/ all the positive feedback on him! Any details anyone knows on costs and such, do write it up on here for everyone. stephanie--mom to 7
He will come to your home, but to me it was a little expensive last year. I don't remember the exact cost, but I know we decided against it. We are hoping to hire him for an MU meeting this year.
