Major Retail Development Planned For US70 In Clayton - The Clayton Town Council has given the go ahead to a major retail development on Highway 70. A Michigan developer plans to turn a 75-acre tract of land on US70 between Wal-Mart and the Dogwood Forest Subdivision into a large $40 to $50 million commercial development. John Greenwood with Greenwood Development Company told the council Tuesday night the development would likely bring national retailers, banks and restaurants. Some residents from Dogwood Forest appeared at the rezoning to voice concerns about the retail site encroaching on their neighborhood. Developers promised to leave a 125-foot boundary between the subdivision and the commercial property

Is it just me, or does the new dentists/ballroom facility look WAY out of place sitting by the Waffle House, CVS, and lumber yard? What is the little building next to it, with the fountain?

I wonder if they have any national retailers, banks and restaurants lined up yet.

I agree, at first I thought it was going to be a nice looking building. But they have gone way overboard and too many windows in my opinion. And it looks way out of place. I hear that Dr Lane's other office look this way too?

I think buliding next to it is Dr. Lane's cigar lounge.
