I assumed the schools had motion sensors to cut down on vandalism & theft. If a deer is smart enough to break in undetected then I am sure others could also. (Posted from 1270wmpm.com) Deer Found Inside Middle School Euthanized A school employee at Cleveland Middle got the surprise of their life when they showed up at work on Monday and found a deer inside the school building. Officials said the deer had jumped through a glass window in a door and had been wondering around the school building. Authorities don’t have any idea how long the deer had been in the school building. Unfortunately, because of its injuries, the animal was euthanized.
The way I read the story, the deer was injured, not dead when they found it. THEN they had to euthenize it.
Put to sleep? Geez, why not take care of it until it gets better and then release into the wild? The deer is innocent!
I was watching one of those animal cop shows one night and there was a wild deer somewhere that needed rescuing. The wildlife man was explaining that when deer get very scared they will sometimes die from heart failure. So I wonder if that deer had to be euthanized, or if it euthanized itself when the people showed up. :neutral:
