I didn't know if you were all aware of this but it is so terribly sad. I am adding an email from Debi at DRSWV about the situation with the Dalmatians they have taken in.

We have posted a page on our website at

    www.dalmatianrescue-va.com

to follow the progress of the emaciated Dalmatians seized in Chapel Hill, North Carolina this past weekend. The Dalmatians are all in foster homes thanks to some very caring people that jumped in to assist us. Funds are coming in to help with their vetting and we thank all who have contributed so far. A paypal link has been set up on our site for donations.

All of the dogs are emaciated and were covered with ticks and fleas. All have varying degrees of skin problems including dermatitis and open sores. One of the females will probably have to have one of her eyes removed, but she is not yet strong enough to undergo surgery, so that will have to wait. All have had initial vet checks and will have continued care for quite a while. We are hopeful that all of them will be adoptable as all are showing signs of wanting some TLC and love. Pictures of each of the Dalmatians are included on their webpage, along with what we know about them at this point. We appreciate your emails, thoughts and prayers for these guys. We are taking one day at a time, but will post updates on our website when more information is available.

On a side note, it is my understanding that charges of animal abuse and neglect will be brought against this couple. Keep your paws crossed!!
