What do my fellow-4042'ers do for grins and giggles in their free time? What are your hobbies? Do you do crafts? What sort? Do you collect things? Build things? Make things? Do you like to read? Write? Hunt? Fish? Hike? Golf? Dance? Have been thinking about people and their hobbies lately .. I'm curious! Thnx! Carol
As far as arts/crafts go-pottery but I'd also like to get into silversmithing and glass fusing. DH likes to build things such as sheds, wishing wells etc..Besides that we both like to be outdoors, hiking etc.,I like to read while hubby prefers to play his computer game. DH like to 'collect' new tools while I've been known to buy too much hand-crafted jewelry. Almost forgot to mention our dog which sort of counts as a hobby I guess
I like to go to antique stores, reading, I'm learning to can/preserve fruits and veggies, a little sewing. My most recent obsession which is costing me mega $$ is photography. DH just got me a hybrid SLR camera that I'm experimenting with, except now I need a lense with a bigger zoom. I don't know all the technical terms, LOL. I do some crafting too with some stamping on ceramic tile, cross stitching, embroidery, I've done some decent painting of ceramic figurines and the like. Right now I'm fostering some baby kittens, that's rather time consuming too, LOL
I love the beach and spend a lot of time there...reading, fish some, ride bikes, sitting on the beach all day. I like to do 5K's. I like to go to the gym. I love watching movies. Love music and going to see shows.
I enjoy quilting, reading and anything outdoors. I use to hunt when I lived up North but have no one to go with here. I also use to fish alot. Guess you could say I am one of those odd women. I also love watching football!
Golf, Team Trivia ( http://www.teamtrivia.com ), home brewing now and then, and I'm sure there are others, just not coming to me at the moment.
scrapbooking and cardmaking, freezing/canning all of this yummy, fresh produce, reading, browsing thrift stores, and FINALLY we have started restoring our Firebird! :hurray:
Antique shopping, landscaping this God forsaken lot of ours, helping my kids get their band off the ground (need a good band, cheap?? think Alter Bridge, Creed, Eagles, Shinedown), and reminding my sweet DH why he couldn't live without me.
Sounds like my first honeymoon... but the long walk was not by choice... they don't make Fords like they used to.
