Does anyone know of anyone who makes homemade churned butter in the form of cakes if so I sure would love to know.
Thanks for the reply on making butter, but, I don't want to make butter, I want to know if anyone knows anyone who makes old timey churned butter, the kind that my grandmother used to make.
I don't know of anyone who sells it locally. You might try the farmers market in Raleigh or some of the farm stands around. I can tell you where to buy some in Virginia though. As to the method of making butter; whether you use a mixer, an electric churn or the old fashioned wooden ones, the end result is the same as far as taste. (My grandparents had a large dairy farm, I know of what I speak)
