Honeywell Door to Door sale scam

Hello, Just had a visit by a guy claiming to be a Honeywell rep. Wearing a uniform type shirt and carrying an IPAD with alarm systems. Offered to upgrade my system free of charge. Had to tell him to leave several times. Have contacted the sheriff's office after googling Honeywell scam and found out it is widespread. I live in the Walton Springs neighborhood off of Mt. Pleasant.


Editing to let you know that the Sheriff's officer talked to the guy and he does have a permit to go door to door.

 

You should get yourself a rope and establish a barrier. That is what works for me.

 

He came to my house yesterday also!
He seemed very nervous and when I asked him what he was selling, he said "never mind."
