We would like to take our kids, 11 and 8 horseback riding for a day during spring break. Any recommendations in the area? Thanks!

Thanks Tassy. That may be a little pricey for us. Did some research on Happy Trails Farm in Wake Forest and it seems nice and a little more reasonably priced.

I know someone who just got a horse from Dead broke farms and the horses were in mud up to there knees.. SMH I don't know if they keep the trail horses in the same area as were she got her's or not.

Their age limit is 10yr and older, but if you 8yr old has experience you are fine. This is not to far from 40/42 area and has nice trails. They have groupons every now and then as well.

I have gone with my daughter to ride at Dead Brook Farms 2 times and enjoyed it both times. Not the most organized people but horses and trails were good.

Ages 2 - 6 can do pony rides. 7 or older for trail ride.
