This is going to be a really weird question ... but does anyone around here live on a farm or know of a farm where someone can bring a puppy to get it used to farm type animals? Let it sniff, get socialized, get some experience being around different things? Horses in particular ... tho cows would be good (or anything else!) ... thnx!
I'd agree. Any type of livestock (horses, cows, goats, pigs, etc.) probably could seriously hurt or kill a small puppy. Introduce it gradually and I wouldn't allow a puppy on the ground near the feet of a horse to begin with. They are very skittish with small, unfamilar animals around their legs and hooves.
I thought this is about what we have eaten. I have eaten all of these, with the possible exception of horse, within the last week. The last time I knowingly ate horse was close to 40 years ago!
Who knows? If you've eaten at a Mexican restaurant lately, they might have just served one up and you didn't even know the difference . I have heard of some Mexicans eating cat and I want to think, dog, too. And isn't it the Phillippines or China where they do eat dog? Differences in culture, I guess, but certainly not for me.
Had some chili rellenos yesterday that was delicious but I am not sure exactly what the protean source was!
You haven't sat in on one of my Workshops have you? Typically, in order to get them to fill out their Name Place Tags, I tell about the time I was engaged to my Better Half but forgot her name at a party.
Hey girl! My stepdaughter has chickens, goats, and dogs. they seem to get along quite well, especially as one is an Aussie Shepherd... The dogs tend to take pretty well to livestock, and vise versa... I agree though...careful with puppies and horses, they spook easily...
I've actually never had an Indian buffet, I keep forgetting such a thing exists. I think the last curry I had was over in England ... wonder if there was goat in there.
