Okay, I posted on another thread about possibly getting together tomorrow. I know folks are looking for things to do w/ their kids on such a hot day. So, thought I'd make an impromptu offer. Here goes: Friday, June 19th Cool off w/ some pool time & meet some new friends via 4042. Bring a towel, good attitude and something to share (bag of chips/ grapes/ watermelon/ potato salad/ etc.) I'll provide hotdogs/ buns/ etc. Come any time but preferably around 11 am or so. It is an above ground pool. It is in direct sun so I would definitely use sunscreen. Do hope to meet some of you there. Bring any and all kids. I'm sure we all have some of the same age! I don't mind kids going in and out of my house at all. Just have this rule of NO food or drinks upstairs. Hope you all don't mind that one. So, let's get together on a very hot June day (supposed to be 102 heat index), share some stories, and meet some new friends. Hey, I met a fellow 4042 on here last year and her son & my son are now really good friends. So, you just never know. I live in Southills subdivision, just off Cornwallis so very easy to find. Sounds like fun but I will be getting ready for my yard sale I am having Saturday so would not be able to come. Hope you have a good turn out.

That would be great. Hopefully you guys will do this again this summer. We will be getting ready to leave tomorrow afternoon for vacation. Thanks for inviting everyone. Hopefully we'll get another chance.

As long as the kiddos don't know it's beer, it's okay. Sorry but my kids have a real fear/ aversion to beer w/ their past. My husband and I have to go out if we want to drink...urghh!!! So yep, bring the beer. stephanie--mom to 7
I'd love to come just to meet some of you but alas, I'll be at an all day meeting for work. Only consolation is it's inside with air conditioning! But....I may just have to stop off at the CDH on my way back to properly start off the weekend with something cool!
