Anyone have family/friends stay at any of hte 40/42 hotels? If so, how was their experience there. My parents have stayed at the Hampton up there in the past and did NOT have a good experience at all. So, they are looking for a different place to stay and I figured I'd ask you guys. They'll be arriving on a Friday(7th) and departing that Monday morning. So a 3 night stay. I must admit that my dad would stay anywhere & has (Marine Corps). My mom however is, well, put it nicely a little more particuliar. They never stay here. I think the 7 scare them away--LOL. They used to stay in Smithfield near the outlets and liked it a lot but would love to be closer due to gas prices and such. Plus, other family(her brother) is coming to visit too. any suggestions on where to stay, please let me know. Thanks. I sent the link that the Cleveland Community Chamber has. Nice link btw! I've tried to warn of the blasting at 40/42 w/ the new Walmart but hoping the blasting part will be over by then.

    Thanks in advance.

My MIL just stayed at the Super 8 over the weekend and had no complaints. She is not really a seasoned traveler however. She did say the coffee cups at the cont. brkfst were only 4 ounces and the muffins and such were tiny. I saw her room, it was "OK". No flat panel tv or anything fancy, but clean.

I came home recently and lets just say I needed to find another place to sleep for the evening. Went to that hotel with the "8" in it up by Lowe's - well next time I will sleep in the car.

Thanks for the honesty. I've stayed at a hotel before and honestly wanted to crawl back in the car when I saw roaches. And not just one. It was the place where they "leave the light on for you."--LOL. I know now why...to scare the roaches away! Keep the opinions coming. It will help.

Off topic (sort of), but that Comfort Inn was supposed to be there in 2000. They had signs up in 1999. When it was finally built, hubby & I joked around about finally having a place for our family. We were so excited about there being a new hotel being built that we just knew they would all stay there. Then of course it wasn't built in time.

It should be nice though since it's brand spanking new.

We stayed at that Hampton Inn at 4042. We had a great time. Of course we stayed in the jacuzzi tub room, but a great time was had none-the-less. ;)

We stayed at the Sleep Inn at 40/42 one night during the Summer when the A/C went dead. It's sufficient and affordable.

A friend had a horrible experience at the Super 8 at 40/42 this summer. Dirty, bugs, "seedy" people lingering around her door etc. She transferred over to the Holiday Inn right next door the next day and loved it there.

She also stayed at the Comfort Suites on Rt. 70 in Clayton(behind Dunkin Donuts) when she recently moved here(apartment was not ready yet) for a week and had a great experience there too.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn at 40/42 last year when I was here for a job fair right before our move and had a great experience there...sorry your parents did not.
