Does anybody know of housing/rent assistance other than social services? Like help finding a place, and help paying for that place? I know there are housing authorities in town, but what about just in the county - not in city limits?
I think if you talk to social services & coordinate with a Land lord of your choosing, SS will pay for a portion of or all of the rent depending on the price of rent and what the person qualifies for. I do have to tell you though, This was hear say from a lady that use to work with me so I'm not totally sure how it works or if it's true. She did say she had trouble finding something in her price range. :?
