I would like to run a history/background search on someone that is now out of state. Any recommendations? All of the free sites end us wanting a credit card number. Since I have never done this I would pref. a recommendation.

You're going to have to pay for it. You won't find a real background check for free on the internet (thank goodness!). Also, be wary of some of those sites. You don't know what you're paying for until you've paid for it, so some will charge you and give you only the most basic of information.

ETA: My old company used to use Firstpoint, so they're definitely legit. Not sure what the cost is though.

Dang did I miss something....... I have been thinking there are 50 states..... You say 52 (50 + 2 territories) and the Great Obama thinks there are 57.

Hello! Sorry. Late to bed, eary to rise, haste makes waste. I feel like Dan Quale. LOL. Yes I know there are only 50 states. Lived in 10 of them and set foot in all 50.
