From JoCo Emergency Management: Thank you each for all the support this week. We would like to update you on the needs that we have identified to date, along with donation sites. Monetary donations may be made to: County of Johnston Relief Fund, P.O. Box 530, Smithfield, NC 27577. Donations of goods can be made at: 912 North Brightleaf Boulevard, Smithfield, NC 27577 During the following times: Monday through Saturday - 9:00am – 6:00pm Sunday - 1:00pm – 6:00pm Please be advised that donated items should be sorted according to the following categories: Canned goods (vegetables, fruits, meats, etc.) Food products (crackers, cereal, bread, etc.) Baby products (diapers, formula, wipes, etc.) House cleaning products (spray cleaners, Windex, etc.) Personal Hygiene products (feminine hygiene, soap, shampoo, etc.) Pet products (dog/cat food) Linens (new sheets all sizes, pillows, towels, wash clothes, dish towels) Fans New Household Item (such as cups, plates, silverware, can openers, etc.) Paper Products (paper towels, toilet paper, paper cups, plates, etc.) Clothing should not be donated as it will not be accepted at the location. Rental needs could be temporary while repairs are being made or permanent long term. Volunteers: Finally, we are also trying to identify volunteers to help at the donation management site.
