having just had a baby, I find it REALLLLLLY hard to believe she didn't know she was pregnant. I mean what the heck did she think was rolling around in her belly?????

Woman Surprised Weight Gain Meant Pregnancy

BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Amanda Brisendine attributed the 30 pounds she gained in the past year to an abandoned smoking habit and rich food.

So when she went to the hospital with sharp stomach pain, she wasn't expecting to leave with a newborn son.

The Washington state resident said she was shocked by the pregnancy news.

    "I don't know how I didn't know. I just didn't know," she said.

Brisendine, who has a 14-month-old daughter, said she didn't experience typical pregnancy symptoms.

"Everything was normal as far as I knew," she said.

    Denial?

With each pregnancy you show sooner and feel the baby move sooner.

Everything is more identifiable and pronounced earlier than your last pregnancy.

I would be in denial too, if I had a 6MO and Aunt Flo went missing.

I always found it hard to believe too, but I then had a neighbor in that situation. She was on some pretty hefty meds for a medical condition that she was required to take a pregnancy test at the doctor's every month. She was already large woman, she actually lost weight during that time, the tests were always negative, and then BOOM! She went to the ER thinking it was appendicitis or something. Her baby was adorable; however the meds caused dwarfism in him. (That was the mildest possible birth defect!)

I had a friend in this situation too and Aunt Flo still made her monthy visit. She didn't gain very much weight at all so she didn't even look pregnant. She also went to the hospital thinking it was apendicitis and came home with a baby.
If I hadn't of know this girl and seen her on a daily basis I wouldn't have believed it either.

Me too. My friend even went out drinking with me one night, clueless she was pregnant, because if you knew her, she would NOT have been drinking if she knew she was pregnant.

I have a cousin that was the same way and my uncle even has pictures that he had taken of her right before she went into the hospital.

I definitely believe it's possible not to LOOK pregnant, especially if you're bigger, but to not feel anything?? I don't get that. I mean at the end, the baby does rolls in there that you would not believe, I would sure be to the doctor trying to figure out what the heck that was!! LOL
Anyway....maybe it was a nice surprise for her!
