I"m glad I got home from Raleigh when I did. No one else here knows how to bolt everything down that's outside :boxing:
I'm so sick of this weather. On Thursday our house got struck by lightning...we lost our security system, our cable, our router, and a tree went down in the driveway. We think the lightning came through the cable. It must not be grounded well enough. Progress energy is installing some type of "surge protection" system on the outside of the house...not sure if that'll do any good. I'm going to have to find the cable line outside and see how it looks, maybe Time Warner Cable can do something as well. Anyway, now everytime I hear thunder or see lightning and I'm not home it makes me so jumpy. Surge protectors on our outlets is not enough, it seems.
Look like there's plenty more on the way, good since that beats standing out there with the garden hose!!
Just heard on WRAL that Clayton got 2 inches of rain in about 30 minutes... So how come there's a drought?
