Anyone know of a good tummy doctor? I have had non stop nausea for 2 months and I cant take it anymore.... I would like to get one Monday if possible. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!! Thanks
The Gastro Doctor across from Rex Hospital is excellent. I forget the name. That is where I go and they are excellent. I thought it was Wake Endoscopy.
Good luck. I hope you find a dr. that will give you some relief. I can't imagine being nauseous for 2 months. Are you sure you're not pregnant?
trust me...it's possible! I was positive I wasn't pregnant and spent 3 or 4 months dealing with daily nausea...some days were much worse than others. But in the end, it was diagnosed at Gastritis and cured with Prevacid.
He was so funny! before they put me under (upper endoscopy) , he was chatting with me, and wanted to know was I Italian and my family heritage...LOL...next thing I knew I was waking up and he was going over the results with my husband!
Dr. Morris Pollock is probably the best gastro specialist in Raleigh and their office operates their own endoscopy center (Raleigh Endoscopy) right across the hall. Pollock discovered two life threatening conditions in a relative of mine several years apart when his primary care physician missed both conditions. I believe he saved his life twice. His offices are located on Atrium Drive near Rex. Another doctor in with Dr. Pollock that is very good...Dr. McKay. McKay did tests on my wife a few years ago and even though all her tests came back negative for pain she was having (minor endometrosis), he thought enough of her to call her from his home to our home to ask how she was doing. He scored very high marks with me on that day when you have a specialist take the time to call on his own time to check on a patient.
I was really nervous going in. He made me feel a lot better. All I remember was them telling me to take 5 deep breaths and next thing i knew my husband was in the recovery room talking to me. I never felt a thing. When we left there we went straight to IHOP. I was hungry!!!!!
OMG! We did the same thing, I thought I was going to starve and the first thing I wanted was a big omlette and we stopped at IHOP too. Too funny!
I saw Dr. Jordan @ Johnston Area Gastoenterology a couple years ago. Was very pleased with the whole practice. The procedure was no biggie either, despite the public perception. Although I did need double the usual dose of anesthesia. I remember very little til I got home, LOL. Yeah, I'm not a cheap drunk. LOL
I don't know anyone, but please let me know if I can do anything for you girl. I can throw a rock and hit your house now. :grouphug:
Thanks Harleygirl. Come over some time and see my new digs. Went to the Dr. Gotta have and endoscopy so dr. can take biopsies.... May 11th. Dr. was great. went to the Smithfield dr.
