    Thinking about making my own ice tea. How many tea bags should I use?

    Trial and error Bub,, u like em strong or weak.

    You need 12 bags per pitcher! Just do not ruin it like them ignorant Red necks by adding sugar!

    This is the way I was taught many moons ago and still make it this way. Folks profess to love "my" sweet tea.

    7 regular tea bags in a saucepan of water, I don't measure this, just a small saucepan. Bring the water just to a boil and turn it off. DON'T boil the tea bags, it makes bitter tea. Let it steep for at least 10 minutes or so, longer if you like it very strong. Add to a 2 quart pitcher, then add up to a cup of sugar if desired. Adjust amount of sugar according to your taste. Add cold water and stir. Enjoy over ice.

    If I happen to have the family size tea bags, I use 4 of those.
