My girls are 6 and 11 and I am working full time my husband is job hunting. We are running into problems with him scheduling interviews while I am at work. Anyone have any ideas? Has anyone used Screaming Mimi's and if so is it good? Do they have good supervision? Thanks for your input.

They're going baaaaaack! In less than two weeks they will be in school. Can a neighbor help out until then?

I use Screamin Mimi's for my kids (5 & 8). I think it's great. No, it's not like having a personal sitter in your home, but I think there are risks with every situation, whether you have a sitter at home, or take your kids to SM.

I personally love SM for when I go to Wal-Mart ... my kids go there and play while I shop in peace.

Those prices are per hour, per kid. So if it's 2.49/hr, it's $5/hr for 2 kids, which is still good. That doesn't include food though. They charge $5 for meals, and it's usually from cici's or something like that close by. Not worth it for me, my kids are small, don't eat that much, but for older kids who eat a lot, it might be. You can also bring in food for the kids, I've run into problems with this. They have told me they will warm up my kids food if it's a microwave meal, then I sent in lunchable pizzas and they made my kids eat them frozen. I wasn't too happy with this. My kids aren't crazy about the Clayton one, but they love the one at the mall in Raleigh. Of course, the one in Clayton is the one I use, but if you're ever at the mall and want to shop in peace, you can use your hours there as well. They do seem to keep the SM clean, which is definitely great, and if I was a kid, I'd have loved it, looks like fun to me!
