You must see "Flicka" I had some apprehension about Tim McGraw's acting abilities(and I am a huge fan of his), but he did a great job in this movie. Overall an excellent movie I will probably go see again in the theatre. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking! The popcorn was even better than usual tonight at White Oak.......................
Yup, it's a remake like most movies coming out of Hollywood these days. They're either remakes or based on some video game. I'm sure it's a good movie, but I have no interest in seeing it. Mike
Read the book! The movie was good, but the book is even better. Even my 10 year old loved the book, which for a book originally published in the 1940's really says a lot about the quality of writing.
I never saw the original for some reason. But I don't see the harm in re-making a good, family film for once, this one was actually worth the price of admission. Although I agree with your sentiments on most of the junk that Holly wood is mass producing now. How nice to see a family oriented film with no animation for a change. ( I did however, enjoy Over the Hedge and Ice Age II )
