So I have been looking through the Snopes site lately just to see what is on there. This one is blowing my mind: The 1960's series Mr. Ed, was not filmed with a horse, Snopes says it was filmed using a trained zebra. Huh???? Something about the black and white TV technology at the time allowed this to go on without the public being any the wiser. I'm looking at the pictures of the "horse" on there, and it does look like a horse to me, their heads are shaped differently than a zebra, I didn't even think zebras could be trained. WEIRD! http://www.snopes.com/lost/mistered.asp?version=bw#toggle BTW: You do NOT want to look at the accident photos. Wish I hadn't! :ack:
Go down to the bottom of that page and click on "More information about this page." That takes you here: http://www.snopes.com/lost/false.htm
Dang!! They got me!!    I need some sleep ! Can I delete this thread??? 8) I thought! WTH?? That wasn't no dang Zebra!!
Thanks. Clicking on that link caused everyone in my office to look at me, when Mr. Ed started talking about "Maybe I didn't go to college..." Next time, a little warning, please.
Sorry about that, it was late, I was tired and obviously not thinking clearly. No more threads while sleep deprived, I promise! (besides, you shouldn't be on here at work anyway!:mrgreen:8):cheers Cleo, the accident photos were under "horror" I think. I'm not going to try to find them again. GROSS!!
ahhh KDC - it had to be a horse - otherwise when he sang the song, "A horse is a horse, of course, of course," he would have been lying. Everyone knows zebra don't lie. Tap a nap. please...luv ya..lol
