so i absoultly HATE the wendy's at Mcgees. Out of the 100 times I've probably been there, i think they've only managed to get my order right...maybe...twice? NO MATTER WHAT something is wrong. 1...i ask for it plain... 2...i ask for it large, but get a small drink or fry. 3...i ask for a certain sauce...but don't get it. 4...i get overcharged... 5...i get attitudes about questions yes yes i know when going through the drive through it's a touchy subject. but i shouldn't have to pull my car over and check to make sure that they got it right. have you ever looked at the keypad for the ordering menu there? THERE'S A BUTTON FOR EVERYTHING! so how can this be messed up. it's really not that hard...GEEZ!
i guess i should go talk to the manager? i'm not sure...(especially after the premieres post lol) but i dunno fast food is so...annoying. lol no one there cares because well...it's fast food.
You are one mellow customer! I would say your board name is good tag for you - Mello - If I had been to a restaurant 100 times and they only got the order right twice! You are easy. Why put up with this crap! I am a Wendy's fan but not to the extent to put up with this.
Ditto with the one in Clayton. Absolutely horrible service and those morons could not get an order right to save their life. (I am being nice about my comments...trust me)
I'm a regular at both the Wendy's at 319 and the Wendy's at 40/42. I really like the Turkey Frescata sandwiches. Unfortunately, although I always request "NO Tomato", so far I have NEVER received a Turkey Frescata without the tomato. At this point, I don't expect they will every get this potion of my order correct - but I still enjoy the sandwich so I will probably continue ordering them and continue picking off the tomato.
If they continually mess it up... i'd sit right there at the drive-thru window, open up the sandwich, and if it had tomato on it, I'd pick it off and stick it on their window. Maybe then they'd get the hint. I do have to say the one near my office on New Bern Ave. (just before New Hope Rd. heading towards Knightdale) is pretty good. They don't mess up too much, infact our dispatcher is a regular there..every day for lunch, same thing.
Ugh! That's a much better idea than what DH did. WAY back when (in Raleigh, and not Wendy's) ... He threw the food at the window and followed up with smashing a strawberry milk shake against the window with the lid opened-made a huge mess. He got every thing he didn't order and nothing he did and the shake was supposed to be chocolate. Yes. He is an ashole. But I knew that when I married him, so I can't complain. ..... as for me? He treats me like a queen
only one i care to go to is the one by my job in Cary. I don't like going to the one at 40/42, but they act totally ghetto up in there
One night, my family and I went to Wendy's, by Food Lion of Clayton, and we found a used stringe on Wendy's parking lot. It's right next to the driver's side and luckily my son didn't step on it. We never went back there again.
I have been up to the one near Wally World on Hwy 70 in Clayton and I have to say, I was very surprised at how fresh and good everything was...and they were actually VERY pleasant.
Because of a family member's food allergies, we have to order some food to be prepared without certain items. The counter person dutifully entered our order and then called it back. The order was prepared incorrectly. The counter person, seeing the mistake, turned to the cooking staff and delivered the stereotypical admonishment to someone who, shall we say does not use English as their primary language. She loudly repeated the order, while emphasizing and enunciating the order. Simultaneously, I spoke to the cook staff in their lagnugae advising of the change. The order was prepared correctly without hestiation. The manager came over to apologize for the mistake, and offered us a free frosty. We were well served, with a minimal disruption. The hot foods were hot, the food was fresh, the cold foods were cold. We don't use drivethru, so YMMV. For our coin, the Wendy's at 40-42 is a good place.
I've been to the Wendys at White Oak and the McDonalds at Hwy 210/I40 and will NEVER go to either one again. At Wendys, some dudes who look like they just jumped out of a rap video are always hanging around at the counter trying to flirt with the girl who is at the same time taking my order. McD's - another of the sort, but here it's younger punks, about 10-15 who just hang out at the counter. Thats why I love Chick-fil-a, you don't have to deal with 5th grade level idiots who just strolled in from the hood who I can't understand cause their english is not understandable (and I'm not talking about the spanish, though it is hard to find a McD's anymore that hasn't gone all spanish-speaking).
Wendy's is my favorite fast food place. I was so happy to have one open up just down the road. Took me awhile to realize why the small combo's were so much. They were automatically upsizing me, didn't tell me, didn't ask me, just did it.... Really ticked me off. I did talk to the manager, guess what they told me? That it is company policy and if I didn't like it I didn't have to buy there. So, I haven't been to that Wendy's in 2 years or so even though they are so close. Oh well.
