The teen has a 30 GB iPod, it is three years old and video. The teen stays outside a bunch and has found that if it is cold outside she gets the use of the iPod battery for around thirty minutes in the mornings, two hours in the afternoon and in non cold weather she gets around eight hours. Is anyone having this same problem with the cold? Suggestions, anyone! Sherry
Don't really know, I have a shuffle and I usually keep it in my pocket. How does her ipod charge up? (wall charger, usb dock)
Is this the kind of battery that you charge the entire unit on your PC, if so then "Yes" extreme temps will zap the battery.
FrameMaMa and Cleo, Her battery cannot be removed. She charges it overnight but when using it outside, in the cold, she has problems. She can charge it with a computer and she has a charger that plugs into the wall. Currently it is frozen after she used it for about 30 minutes. It is an iPod classic. Thanks for any help, Sherry
Yup, extreme temp changes will kill a battery in a heartbeat. Make sure she does not leave it in the car where it can get really cold at night and hot in the daytime. Also, charging it too much can kill the battery too. Just like a cell phone. I wait until mine dies and then give it a full charge. Lasts much longer that way. Good Luck sweetie...
Correct - cold weather will kill the battery; just bought a new digital camera and in the instructions, it was mentioned about cold weather draining the battery.
