27,000 and Counting Johnston Schools Enrollment Continues Climb SMITHFIELD-- As of the third day of school, Johnston County Schools had enrolled more than 27,000 students, according to SIMS reports. Schools enrolled 190 additional students between days three and four, for a total of 27,235. This is a difference of 1,390 students compared to day four last year.
