5th GRADE STUDENTS TAKE OVER WCES
The 5th grade students at West Clayton Elementary held their very own parent conferences recently. The conferences provided an opportunity for students to reflect upon their successes during their 5th grade year. Students used work portfolios to show parents examples of their work and to reflect on their learning in each academic area. The students marveled in the opportunity to talk with their parents about their strengths and acknowledge their weaknesses as they begin their transition to middle school. The parents also benefited by opening up or improving lines of communication with their child about their education.
