JCS Students, Staff Join Relief Efforts

    District's Students, Staff Begin Efforts to Help Katrina Victims

    SMITHFIELD-- Schools across the district have reported they are
    contributing to the relief being provided to victims of the recent
    hurricane.

    At Smithfield-Selma High School, "We are setting up a booth during
    lunch to collect money. We will then send it to the Red Cross," said
    Jake Jacobs, Principal.

    South Johnston High School's ROTC is sponsoring a fund-raising drive
    for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, according to Dr. Bryan Martin,
    Principal.

    At Princeton, "Our high school students led by Justin Aycock are in the
    process of getting some things together. He has contacted the Red Cross
    which will then send him information about the needs, said Kirk Denning,
    Principal.
