Anybody see this? I just watched it the other day and saw none of the Fire & Brimstone, Jesus Soldiers, Brainwashing BS that I had heard about (which is of course why I watched it!). The only jerk I saw in there was the DJ, I was really impressed with young Levi.

Anybody go to a camp like this as a child? Was this film a true representation?

I had listed it as one of my top 5 Horror Movies.

I went to Baptist camp a number of times during my youth, not quite this hardcore but I did see all but the abortion thing at camp.

Now John Birch Society Camp, that was a different thing entirely.

Wow Hught, this in addition to your comments about your parents making you hand out political literature ...sounds like they were pretty hardcore. I can see how you became a liberal. Parents push a little too hard sometimes.

Are you serious? I thought you didn't like aggressive Christians. I don't have a problem with these people, and I would definitely support them over radical liberals, but they are a little too hardcore for my tastes.

My favorite part was Beck Fisher fixing her hair. Did you see how much hairspray she used? What's the point? Its just a rats nest anyway.

Yes, I went to Baptist camp every summer that we were in the United States. Both parents worked so during the summer I was shipped off to the grandparents and in between Church Camp. Abortion was never discussed.

I guess those kids who went to Baptist summer camp fall into the same category as the Catholics who will not walk back into church.

    Cleo,

Tape over the mouth isn't even in my realm. I think people should speak out.

Yes, I do not like it when they are aggressive towards me and mine, however I feel it is a parents right to bring up their children how they see fit as long as there is no abuse/laws being broken. Yes, they are the lesser of two evils. After looking at CL personals, I am glad there is some "balance". I DID think she was a little OTT, however the kids really responded to her because she got on their level. I did notice her fixing her hair, when she sighed and looked in the mirror I thought she was going to say "Why do I bother? It still looks like ****". lmao

Well I grew up going to Baptist camp twice a year. It was always lots of fun. My whole youth group from church would go. We would do one trip to the mountains and one to the beach for a week each trip.

    We went here http://www.fortcaswell.com/

    and here http://www.ridgecrestcamps.com/

Most of the time I couldn't get away from my parents, because they would be helping with the camp during the weeks I was there.

Biological father is very liberal, Step-Father is a Registered Democrat Union employee (He did anything she told him to do), but my Mum's side was off the charts and my brothers and sisters are all pretty conservative.

    I be the Black Sheep.
