Anyone use the open MRI in the new Medical Facility in Clayton?

My daughter actually went on Tuesday. No complaints! The doctor had the results the next day in their office.

I did a few weeks ago due to TIA (mini-stroke), got great care and wasn't so bad.

    Happy Easter to all,

They have an Open Bore MRI but not an open MRI... A lot of people get that confused and there is not much difference in that MRI and the one's else where. It is still a 4 ft (little shorter than some) magnet in length but the whole/opening is quite larger than most. However, they still move you rather closely to the magnet for a brain, neck or spine. So if extremely claustrophobic you may not like this either. Most places do MRI's with IV valium if needed or you can go to a hospital for MAC sedation. Hope this helps some! If you are just a little uneasy then you may be ok with the open bore though :)

The closest "true" open MRI I believe is still in Greenville but the images are not as strong.
