Per the JoCo Government facebook page, the park at Polenta and Matthews has been approved. "Today at the 10:00 a.m. board meeting, the Board of Commissioners, with the recommendation from staff, approved the purchase and preservation of 77 acres in the Cleveland community for future recreation, open space, and greenway use. The purchase price was $1.6 million and the County anticipates reimbursement from state grant funds of $500k to $1 million. The Board plans to explore future land purchases/preservation opportunities across our county. (In the photo below, Adrian O'neal, Parks, Greenways, and Open Space Coordinator, addresses the Board.)"
Judging by how fast the local government works, it will probably be 2022 before they even do anything with the property. I figure for $50k they could at least add some trails and dump a couple loads of gravel for a place to park.
