Ok. I am anew parent and have been hearing some interesting things about the problems some are having at the schools, high schools mainly, of the safety concerns of parents for the kids. Has anyone else had any problems or the kids had any problems where the schools are not seeming to be the least bit concerned?
I've had tons of problems and yes, w/ safety issues as well. My troubles have been with the middle school though not th ehigh school. If you search a thread, you may find one. There was one a long time ago that told about all the fights, bullies, etc. at the middle school and high school level here and the lack of concern from the admin to do anything about it. This was a thread from not just one person but many. I know they did nothing in my situtation for my son and he is now homeschooled. And trust me, it was not a one time incident nor was it not reported. I can ONLY speak for myself and my experiences. But from everyone else I've talked to as well, I'm not alone in it. Doesn't make it any easier though. I know that doens't ease your mind much, but it's what we've experienced so far. Good luck to you. I do hope you don't run into trouble. Not everyone does. But when they do, it would be nice if the school system would do something about it for a change. And the zero policy thing is a joke in my opinion. Too many cover-ups. I know some will be mad at me for speaking my mind on here but I just have to. I have seen too many kids get hurt. Stephanie--mom to 7
