The Johnston County Board of Commissioners, in regular session, voted to revise the current water restrictions. Effective immediately, County retail water customers may utilize hand-held watering anytime. In addition, hand-held hoses may be used for car washing and pressure washing. Further, County retail water customers may utilize drip irrigation and soaker hoses for shrubbery, plants, etc. only. These water restrictions are subject to change based on monthly reports regarding river flow values and will be re-evaluated by the Board of Commissioners each month at their regular 10:00 a.m. Board meetings. The previous water restriction allowed hand watering on weekends.
