I just had the privledge of hearing the prayers of a 4 yr. old that lost her mother to brain cancer just 20 months ago. This was her prayer and I quote, "God, please take care of mommy. I know she is already feeling better and I really hope she likes heaven. Please tell her I love her so much and take care of her." This bedtime prayer is why raising money for brain cancer research is so important to me. My heart breaks when I think about what Julie's death means for her young daughter...each year there is going to be a 'need for a mother' and each time it will my son who will be that 'mommy'. I am so proud of him!! I am just one person but this mission I am on is what I am meant to do with some of my time and efforts. Please take time this weekend to stop by and speak with me, buy something at Accessories for Angels if you can and it is OK to give me a dollar if that is all you have, because every dollar is one more dollar toward research so that hopefully another young child won't have to go to bed without their mommy or daddy. Thank you so much and give your loved ones one more hug and kiss today.
Thanks, KDsGrandmama...you did the work for me. Thank you to everyone who read this post and I hope to see you this weekend.
Ooops, sorry! I should have quoted this one instead: This is right at the intersection of Cleveland and McLemore Rd.
