Got a letter for Jury Duty for today, so I called last night (as the letter said) to see if I have to go. Get a recording to call back today at 11am - so I called and now it says to call today after 5pm. What is going on? Anyone have this happen before?
Yeah, and don't believe them when the letter says it's just for a day. They'll expect you to be there the whole week if necessary (or more).
That happened to me years ago and I ended up having to go to court myself for 'contempt of court' because I was away in Florida when it came and when I called I never got through to a real person. I got recalled for a jury trial two months later and sat on the Hipolito Hernandez trial http://triangle.news14.com/content/headlines/595033/hit-and-run-suspect-had-prior-dwis/
Me too, and a co-worker of my hubbys. How many of those letters do they send out for one day? So glad I don't have to go, we were scrambling at work to make sure my job would be covered. Having to make sure for two days instead of one was a pain.
