Who are all these people that think it's OK to park right in front of the store? "Oh, I'm just running in for a few things..." Well, yeah - so is everybody else. Arrrgh...people suck!
I hate when (at Howards for example) you park in the space to the right of the building and these no parking idiots park behind you and then get something to eat.
That's why at Howards I pull in front of the store. Between the pumps and the store.. Sorry if it makes anyone mad, But like the one above I'm not getting blocked in.
that just about happened to me last weekend at Howards... I parked to the right of the building next to the dumpster because I was getting something to eat and didn't want to be in anyones way.... and I had to finagle myself out of that spot. Some arse with a pickup and a trailer pulled in behind me at some funky angle, worse yet... he was still in the drivers seat and didn't even back up a little to give me some room.
Little grocery store, gas pumps, GOOOD brekfast and lunch. On Barber Mill Rd passed Amelia Church Rd.
In the town where I live, there is a street that I frequently go down. At one particular house, people will drive down the street, stop in front of the house, & stay for hours. And when I say stop in front of the house, they literally do not move out of the traffic lane so if you go by, sometimes you squeeze by in the lane on left. No matter when you think you have seen it all, somebody else will come along & show you something new.
There are a couple of exceptions to the law when it comes to parking in a fire lane in front of a retail establishment. You can park there briefly, according to the law, when: (a) you have a legitimate reason such as loading or unloading supplies or merchandise, AND (b) the vehicle is not left unattended without a licensed driver.
I try to avoid Howard's just because of the parking situation, which is a shame because they're nice folks. I just don't get why some people think they're special, why they feel they deserve a special exemption from the rules. I guess it's the "I got mine, screw the rest of ya" mentality that really bugs me.
yup. ... when I go I park next to that wall on the other side of the pumps to try and stay out of the special people's way.
I park right beside the propane tanks and run in. Seriously it's for a MT Dew or 2 and run right back to my car, which is not blocking anyone. I have to LEAVE.
