http://4042.appcomm.net/cgi-bin/404...play_db_button=on&db_id=52834&query=retrieval I hate people like this!! If they didn't have time for the mom they surely shouldn't have bread her!!! *We* are threatened with the P word?? The Pound? I'd personally like to take this backyard breeder out back and beat the crap out of her. I'm done!
Harley, I understand your frustration over that ad. That isn't my ad, but I'll probably be posting one like it pretty soon. Now before you come over here and beat me up, let me explain. Way back in September, Kaci posted this... I went and got that dog and my plan was to foster her until we found either her owner or a new home for her. Well, let me tell you, I have never seen a dog who acted like she did. She had obviously been beaten and even the slightest movements made her cower like she was about to be beaten again. One of the men that Kaci works with was somehow able to get his hands on her and tie a rope around her neck like a leash. Well she wouldn't walk with it around her neck so Kaci had to carry her to my van. I didn't hear a peep out of her during the drive to my house because she was terrified, but once I got home and opened up the back of my van she shot out of there like a bullet, getting that rope off of her head in the process. Of course, she ran from me. Over the next couple of days I was able to gain her trust by giving her hotdogs. Once I was able to pet her, I tried putting a leash on her and you would have thought I was beating the living daylights out of her. It was absolutely heartbreaking! So, she lived in my yard for a few weeks while I continued to gain her trust. Anyway, while she was getting to know me and living in my yard she was in heat (probably the reason she was dumped off where Kaci works in the first place) and, of course, before long a couple of male dogs showed up! Long story short, I now have four 3 week old (adorable!) puppies to find homes for (not take to the pound!). Mama dog is mine - she & I have bonded and I could never betray her trust by giving her away - but she is getting spayed as soon as she weans the pups!! Mama dog looks almost exactly like this except prettier, IMO. She is small, about 37 pounds, and has the softest coat I have ever felt on a dog... feels like rabbit fur. Her babies are darker and look like little shephards. If anyone wants to reserve one, there are 2 females and 2 males, and they'll be ready to go in a few weeks. They are being trained to go on potty papers now and are doing great. The males are being typical males though and miss the paper most of the time. I'll start introducing them to puppy food in a few more days because their mama DOES NOT want to nurse them anymore (their teeth are coming in) and I have to make her go in and nurse them now. I've started supplementing with puppy formula which they are able to lap up from a bowl already. It is amazing to watch how fast they grow and change! So, since I'm not a backyard breeder and was trying to do a good deed by saving the mama, have I escaped the wrath of Harley?
LMAO! Yes you have escaped the HG wrath! You know what I mean though. Hey I saw on the back of a Green Saturn SUV today "Jesus Freak" I immediately thought it may be you?
Absolutely Frogger! But you might want to wait until I get over whatever this crud is that I have. Feels like I'm trying to cough up a lung, or two.

http://4042.appcomm.net/cgi-bin/404...play_db_button=on&db_id=52839&query=retrieval Heres another one that just burns my ass!
So sorry girl, i honestly didn't know she was in heat when we got her in the office. She really is the sweetest dog though and really beautiful. Now that i have a new family member i can't take my little Sugar girl but will try to help find good homes for them if i can. Let me know what i can do to help ya since i am pretty much responsible for the whole thing.
Kaci honey, you aren't responsible for these puppies! I didn't know she was in heat at first either because she was only spotting a tiny bit (it got much heavier though!). If she had not been so terrified of everything and everyone, I would have taken her to the vet and had her spayed while she was in heat, but I can't imagine how much that would have traumatized her. Anyway, she is a completely different dog now. Very, very loving and much more outgoing... it does my heart good to see her so happy after what she must have been through. And the puppies are so much fun (most of the time), we're enjoying having them (most of the time) since we've never had puppies before (and never will again), so it's all good. But if you hear of anyone who wants a puppy, please do spread the word for me! Doesn't the pic above ^ look almost identical to Sugar? BTW, I hope you all enjoy your new puppy. She'll probably have more energy than all 4 of my puppies combined!
