We are considering moving our child to this center, does anyone know anything about them, good or bad. Thank you,
Start here http://ncchildcare.dhhs.state.nc.us/parents/pr_sn2_ov.asp (you have to go in person or by mail to get their annual compliance visits, complaint investigations, etc) And then here - http://ncchildcaresearch.dhhs.state.nc.us/Main_Info.asp?Facility_ID=51000592 Then click on the black tabs at the top to move through - Basic Facility Information, License Information, etc. It's a five star daycare, the adult to child ratio looks low to me, but that is just my personal preference. 1 Adult to 8 2YOs? That could just be the state requirements and they might do more than that. Once you have this info, call to see if they have an opening. Then DROP IN and ask for a tour. Depending upon the age of your child I would do a stay and play another day for a fewhours before I officially enrolled.
State Ratio for Two year olds is One Adult to 10 2 year olds. A lot of 5 star centers though use 1:9 or 1:8 ratio for that age. The center I work at in Cary has a 1:9 ratio for 2 year olds. So a 1:8 ratio is really good if they follow it. However: I would highly recommend a tour to any center you want to use. AND go more than once. Go at different times of day as well.
