We have been using a local landscaper and he applied chemicals to our front lawn which killed our grass. He said he would fix it, but has walked away from our contract. Does anyone have a GOOD experience or someone they can recommend?

    Goats

You feed them and they fertilize for free.

Thats it... he's done.. left you high and dry??? You may want to put out said name if its true to prevent that from happening to others. You first need to know what kind of grass did he kill off... If its Fescue you wont be seeing any of that for about 3 months so don't waste any more money. Now if its Bermuda,Zoysia or centipede then you could get some help with that now, and it will come up.

I can't offer you a recommendation but I can tell you not to waste your money on Fairway Green.

    We use TruGreen

Have used them for 3 years and our lawn looks great! While neighbors have all kinds of bare patches, crab grass, weeds and dandilions, we are pretty clear of almost everything, and if we do get the occasional ones here and there, they are gone within a week or two. Honestly, it did take a good year before we saw a big difference, but now 3/4 of out lawn looks really fine - and the remaining part (very hard clay area on one corner of the lawn)is getting there. . .DH was just saying the other day that by next year this time, it should be as close to perfect as we could hope for. :)

I am so sorry about your experience! No one should be treated that way IMO. This day in age customer service is everything & it sounds like you are not getting what you deserve & are owed! I cant believe he just "walked away"!! Feel free to post the name so I will not be calling him! Making a mistake is one thing but not even fixing it is sorry!! Good Luck!

Thanks for all of your thoughts. This landscaper is also a neighbor and I am trying to keep things civil. We are in the process of getting quotes now. Hopefully, the lawn will not have to be such an eye sore much longer!

    Tried them all...

Fairway ( I parted ways due to costs and missed appts.)
Trugreen (I parted ways because their schedulers can't read a calendar)
Green Art (Well I won't say why, but worse than the first two)

I am now with Barefoot and Associates. They are local, private and very responsive. They manage golf course turf as well so they know the business.
