Limewire

    I don't think any music file sharing has a future. Lime Wire lost the case.

    Go Grey, maybe..

    You could, in theory, get a zune pass or maybe rapshody account, and buy a program like tunebyte. Pay for the monthly fee to get the drm songs, and then use tunebyte to re-rip without it.


    However, i don't expect this to kill Limewire. There is no network to maintain, in fact this might make it just happier to use, since you won't have ads all over it. The gnutella network probably won't die for years.

    I see your point. But I can only assume this is the first hard step by the industry in cinching the knot around music file sharing. Without software updates & the security in those updates ..... the networks can be poisoned.

    I would strongly suggest NOT use Limewire. I've seen many pc's ruined because of the user downloading crap from there! A good thing to keep in mind, if it's 'free', it's probably too good to be true!
