I was going to take the one kdc had, but decided to let the other person take her since we weren't 100% positive on having her, never had a cat before, want to wait til we are 100% sure and have the finances to take care of one. :)

LOL I called the vet to see how much it would be to get her all her shots and such and it was going to be well over $200, so will have to wait til that money tree in the backyard starts growing. LOL

If you still want to get one at some point, make a note to look at http://www.safehavenforcats.org. (There is a sign around the corner from my house for free kittens right now.) Safe Haven runs a low cost spay/neuter clinic and for $95 TOTAL... you will get, the cat examined, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, spay or neuter surgery, rabies shot, distemper shot, Feliene Luekemia test done & they'll put Revolution Flea & Tick stuff on her (if she's old enough). I think they have to be atleast 10-12 weeks old or 2-1/2 lbs. They are located in Raleigh off of Capital Blvd just up the road from Triangle Town Center mall.
We had a cat who "adopted us" taken care of there and were very pleased with the services they provided.
